Hill walk: habitat comparison - compare two very different habitats by taking part in a detailed study of the lowland deciduous clay landscape and the sandstone heath and coniferous habitats.
Local area walk: human impact - study the surrounding industry and habitation, drawing conclusions on sustainable use and future development.
Mammal and habitats - investigate the local ecology through using monitoring and surveying techniques, drawing comparisons between the different habitats.
Meander and pollution - studies include a field sketch, use of new meander specific key words, measuring the stream depth and speed, and an invertebrate study to determine the cleanliness of the water.
